The migration to Dynamics 365 Business Central 23.00 was split into several phases, with Simplanova handling each step systematically to ensure no detail was overlooked.

 

Phase 1: From NAV 10.00 to BC 14.00 (C/AL)

  1. Initial Assessment: Simplanova began with a detailed analysis of the existing NAV environment, identifying customizations and third-party add-ons.
  2. Add-On Merging: Using proprietary tools like Report and Dataport Converters, the Simplanova team ensured a smooth integration of add-ons between NAV and BC 14.00.
  3. Database Restoration: Databases were restored, and server instances were connected for testing and development.
  4. Code Migration: The development team leveraged Simplanova’s automated tools to migrate solution objects and code to the new Business Central version, making manual adjustments where necessary.

  2. Object Upgrade: Simplanova leveraged its tools and standard techniques to transfer solution objects onto the new version of Dynamics 365 BC 23. This included merging and transforming code to fit the upgraded environment.
  3. Testing and Live Migration: Testing continued throughout the migration, ensuring that the upgrade was functional and met all client requirements.

Phase 3: BC 23.00 (UCI Compliance)

This phase focused on ensuring compliance with the Universal Code Initiative (UCI) standards, adapting the solution to the latest Microsoft requirements, and enhancing user experience.
