Please find all questions and answers below
Q: Dynamics 365 Administrator is for all D365 apps. Is it possible to request access only for Dynamics 365 BC?
A: Users with this role have global permissions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Online, when the service is present, and the ability to manage support tickets and monitor service health. You cannot restrict it for the app at the moment (you can use roles inside the app for that).
Q: Bi-Directional Sales Orders D365 Sales and D365 BC. Will this enable the creation in BC and then ‘send’ as an Order to D365 Sales?
A: Yes, the synch now can work in both ways. You can change data in Sales, which will be reflected in the SO in BC and vice-versa (if you change, for example, a shipment date in BC, the date change is reflected in Sales).
Q: Is BOM’s fixed quantity associated with Lot Size or OrderMultiple values in SKU?
A: You can select the Fixed Quantity option in the Calculation Formula field on production BOM lines, planning components, and production order components to ensure that the consumption of a component is always the same. When the Calculation Formula field is set to Fixed Quantity in production order components, the Expected Quantity field value is always equal to the Quantity Per field. The Standard Cost Calculation process respects fixed quantity. The lot size for the produced item impacts the cost allocated for one item.
Q: How do we schedule the posting of a direct debit collection? Is that an option in the new version?
A: Regarding Direct Debit, Business Central only supports SEPA direct debits in EUR.
Q: When using multiple Sales Invoice layouts (for example, RDLC). Is there a possibility to use one for one customer and another for another customer?
A: When using multiple layouts, a report will have associated the N layouts you create (automatically). Then you can change the layout to use on the Report Layout selection page and set the desired layout for the specific customer here.
Q: I have a question about the combined balance for Customer&Vendor – do we have one unique field now for each record? If yes, what is value, CLY?
A: You can turn a contact company into a customer or vendor by using the Create as Customer or Create as Vendor actions on the Contact Card page. This link is a prerequisite for seeing the Balance as Vendor field on the Customer page and the Balance as Customer field on the Vendor page.
On the Payment Journal page, you can use the Net Customer/Vendor Balances action to net the customer and vendor balances for the company. The Net Customer/Vendor Balances action creates payment journal lines linked to the net balances for a customer and vendor. The balance is handled by the system under the hood for you.
Q: In the development part, where can you create the missing SQL index detected by Telemetry improvements?
A: The new Missing SQL Indexes page works at SQL-level by exposing the DMV of the underlying database. You can inspect the missing indexes suggestions, and then if needed, you can create a new index by using AL and table or table extension objects (adding a new index in the definition).
