There are some new features in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015.

The application and IDE hasn’t changed much in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015, but there are certainly a few long-awaited features. There are few useful features in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015 for developers:

• Multiple-line comments in C/AL editor.

o   Finally we can comment (Shift + Ctrl + K) a block of code using //

o   And uncomment (Shift + Ctrl + O).

• Support for Report Viewer 2014 and Report Builder 2014

o   Though there isn’t any new functionality, bug fixes only.

o   It is still possible to force 2012 version use also.

• C/SIDE variable name defaulting

o   Names default to formatted object name. This feature is very handy, so from now on, when you create a variable for Record “Sales Line”, then variable name will default to “SalesLine”.

• Properties with custom values are now shown in bold

o   If the value is not the default one, now it stands out much better and is much clearer to look at the properties‘ window.
